Vaa I Te Moana

Rangiroa Island

GUESTHOUSE (BnB)
For a comfortable stay, in a recent pension and very well located, offering large bungalows perfectly equipped.

Why you will like this BnB :

- The location is one of the big highlights of this pension. In addition to being close to snacks, shops, and dive centers, the Va'a i te Moana guesthouse is adjacent to a world-famous divers spot: the Tiputa Pass. Underwater, the aquatic fauna is impressive, but from the edge, you will have several times the opportunity to observe a multitude of dolphins surf the waves.
- The meeting with Cynthia and Andea the owners. Cynthia, originally from Tuamotu, is happy to share her knowledge of customs and traditions. Andrea, he is Italian. He takes care, among other things, to prepare meals and he shows a certain talent to mix traditional Polynesian recipes and European cuisine.
- The spacious bungalows have very good bedding and quality equipment. Note that they are not air-conditioned but the prevailing winds Tuamotu offer a natural and ecological air conditioning and they are, in addition, very effective in hunting mosquitoes.

Good to know: The internet connection is included with the rental of your bungalow. However the flow in Rangiroa is sometimes capricious. The installation of a submarine cable to improve the connection is planned in 2019 by the territory.

Restaurants
- At Va'a i te Moana, breakfast is good and plentiful. It is served on the main terrace. A wide choice of coffee will be offered to you (don't forget, Andrea is Italian...), as well as tea, homemade coconut bread, local jams, fruit juice, homemade yogurts, eggs, and pancakes.

- The guesthouse does not offer lunch. If you are on a full-day excursion with a tour operator, lunch will be included in the price of the excursion. If you are not on an excursion, you will have the option to enjoy the bar/snack at the Kia Ora hotel, located 10-15 minutes' walk away, which offers very good sandwiches.

- The guesthouse does not offer dinner. For dining options in Rangiroa, there is: Le Relais de Joséphine at 400m (reservation can be made directly on-site with them), Moanatea pizzeria at 400m, two small shops at 400m, and 2 snack-restaurants at 800m. There are also the Kia Ora, Maitai, and Raira Lagon hotels. Finally, further in the village, there are two snack-restaurants and five shops.

Activities
