Which island for my wedding in French Polynesia?
Basically, all islands featuring four to five star properties are offering Tahitian weddings to their guests, that being said, of course the main wedding destination is by far Bora Bora. Because Bora Bora is offering a large range of resorts you'll get many options, plus the unique beauty of the lagoon and the iconic mount Otemanu are offering the perfect setting for a romantic photo shoot. But you can also have a more intimate wedding on Moorea, Taha'a and Rangiroa islands too.

How to choose the location of your wedding in Bora Bora, Moorea or any other island in French Polynesia?
Wedding ceremonies can take place either on a beach (most resorts will offer several beach locations options like on the main beach of the resort, on a private islet...) or at a wedding chapel (some resorts like the InterContinental Thalasso & Spa**** or Le Méridien Bora Bora***** have over the lagoon chapels with glass bottom floors). So as wedding ceremonies are quite similar from one resort to another, you'll have to choose first the resort you would like to stay in, and then we at easyTahiti.com will send you the map of the selected resort(s) indicating the several wedding location's options.
Choose well your photographer, your pictures are so important!
This experience of a lifetime needs to saved forever by a reputable wedding photographer and we have several names to propose to you. Plus, you'll take this opportunity to do a romantic photoshoot (after your wedding ceremony), in an amazing location... You'll bring back home the most beautiful pictures of you two, that's for sure!
Each photographer has his own personnality, sensibility and not all photographers are the same. We'll provide you with picture samples from each photographer so you can find the right one for you.

Which option should I book?
Regarding the wedding ceremony, this choice is really yours and we'll provide you with all options. Starting the day of your wedding by a couple spa treatment will put you in perfect shape and mood and enjoying a romantic dinner after the wedding ceremony is a great way to end it...

What to expect during my Wedding Ceremony?
Although there are variations depending on location, the following is a general description of traditional Tahitian wedding ceremonies throughout the islands of Tahiti (Customized ceremonies are also available upon request):
While the guests are in their bungalow, the priest’s assistants will come to dress up the bride and groom with white pareu (painted wraps, like sarongs). The couple is adorned with specially created flower crowns and leis.

After the ceremony, a cocktail is served to the couple. A romantic dinner can be prepared on a secluded, private islet, on the beach, or at a restaurant especially for the wedding couple.
A professional photographer takes pictures of the ceremony. A memorable "tapa" with the couples’ joint Tahitian name will be given to commemorate this unforgettable occasion.
