Moorea Dolphin Center - formely Dolphin Quest Moorea - is located in the transparent waters of the InterContinental Moorea Resort and Spa. Since 1994, four bottlenose dolphins - originally from a similar facility in Hawai’i or retired from the US NAVY - have been living in this natural and preserved habitat.

The activities we offer not only pursue an educational purpose, but also emphasize public environmental
awareness. Our guests will be delighted to meet and interact with the dolphins and will get the opportunity
to learn more about the breath-taking, yet fragile Polynesian lagoon habitat. All of our programs have been carefully elaborated in collaboration with marine biologists and veterinarians in order to ensure our dolphins’ well being.

Dolphin discovery :

Discover all that you have always wanted to know about bottlenose dolphins from their anatomy to their habits and behaviors.

Pursue you  visit by joining these amazing animals in their environment. You will be able to truly appreciate how they can perform acrobatics in the air as well as a magical aquatic ballet.

Kids program :

Kids will first explore the marine fauna during a treasure hunt along the hotel chenal. They will meet Lokahi, Hina, Aito or Kuokoa back at the dolphin lagoon and will get the chance to join one of them in the  ater.

Petting and talking to a dolphin, listening to its songs and playing with him are only few of the moments your children will remember from this incredible experience.

Special Romance :

Indulge yourselves in an unforgettable encounter with a bottlenose dolphin. You will first be greeted with a flower crown lei and a freshly cut coconut.

Because this program is limited to only two couples,you will have the chance to get a personal experience with the animals.

You will also be able to bring home a unique picture with a dolphin that will surely make your friends jealous!

Family program

This program has been specifically elaborated for families accompanied by 3 to 5-year old children. It allows you and your family to share a unique encounter with our dolphins. Before getting in the water, the trainers will introduce you to the dolphins and will present some bases in marine biology as well as cetacean  natomy and adaptation. This program allows our youngest participants and their parents to share an unforgettable experience as a family.

Apnea Program :

Have you always dreamt about swimming with a dolphin? The Apnea program is designed specifically for  you.

Just hold on to the dolphin’s fins and let him embark you for an unforgettable dive…

Trainer for a day :
For a whole morning, you will become part of our team and learn everything you have always  wanted to know about training techniques. T

his program also includes a dolphin discovery session about training.

Te Mana o te Moana

Moorea Dolphin Center and the InterContinental Moorea Resort and Spa financially support a non-profit organization for the protection of the environment. Te Mana o Te Moana promotes the public’s awareness
as well as the protection of the marine wildlife in French Polynesia thru research projects, management
of the sea turtles clinic, public’s sensitization to environmental threats and protection of marine species.
Moorea Dolphin Center directly participates to educational program in schools in Tahiti and Moorea.
In addition, our facility is part of numerous international events such as the Science Festival, The Environmental Day and the World Ocean Day…
