ISLANDS:
TAHITI: Two volcanoes emerging from an emerald sea gave birth to the myth of paradise known today as the largest of the Polynesian islands with an area of 1,042 sq km (651 sq mi): steep cloud-draped mountains, deep verdant valleys, luxuriant ferns, swift, invigorating rivers and black sand beaches await you on this "island of love".

MOOREA: At 12 miles from Tahiti, the verdant mysticism of the "yellow lizard" flows forth from a shredded landscape that resembles a vast star-shaped garden branching out into eight valleys. Captain Cook’s island has one of the most beautiful lagoons. Its turquoise waters reflect the sumptuous harmony of the underwater world where divers might meet turtles, leopard rays or even some scorpion fish amidst coral roses hosting many other species.<

SURF IN POLYNESIA:
Here surfing is one of the most popular activities on the beach with some very good surf breaks found all over the island. Highly acclaimed by surfers from all over the world, surfing in Tahiti is most definitely a great experience. On the northern coast of the island, you will find some good breaks at Matavai Point and Point Venus, while on the southern coast are the popular breaks Papara and Fisherman’s Point. If you are an avid surfer then head on down to the south coast of Tahiti Iti to experience the fantastic breaks at the Vairao Pass, Ta Ava Iti and Havae pass, the home of the infamous wave Teahupo’o.
Teahupo’o
If you have read any surfing magazines you will undoubtedly have seen pictures of one of Tahitis great waves - Teahupoo. It is a monster of a wave producing incredible barrelling waves, and Tahiti is just full of waves like this. If you are serious about surfing the Tahitian waves are really going to give you a good test. You will also probably have more barrels in your time here than you will have in the rest of your surfing life.

Haapiti
This reef can hold big swell. It is a playful easy wave up to about ten feet. Its not too shallow or heavy and the locals are super friendly. The only thing to watch out for is the current going out the narrow pass. The bigger the surf the harder the current sucks. It breaks on almost any swell but best with a little west in it. The winds are generally favorable unless they are strong out of the west. The paddle is very long so be careful. Come back before you are tired.
