Successful Launch For Innovative New Tahiti Specialist Operator

TAHITI: 30 MAY 2007 New travel company “easyTahiti.com” has set-up a specialist operation with offices in Tahiti’s capital, Papeete.

Founder and CEO Nelson Levy promises that “easyTahiti.com” is no ordinary ‘dotcom’ start-up. “We strongly believe that there are two essentials missing with many on-line travel sales operations. Firstly, travel is a personal thing, and as such needs to be treated in a personalised manner, secondly, local knowledge will always be king – easyTahiti.com is based in Tahiti, staffed by Tahitians and we can provide current and detailed know-how directly to our partners and clients.

The company was set up late in 2006 by Levy, the former founder and CEO of Tahiti’s successful international airline, Air Tahiti Nui, along with several other well-experienced industry associates. “Our intention is to use the web as one of our tools rather than the central focus of our operation, above all else we are interested in providing the best experience possible for guests as visitors to our islands” explains Levy.

Just ten days ago the easyTahiti.com website went live sporting a selection of introductory offers, and already sales from all four corners of the globe have begun rolling steadily into to the team’s waterfront headquarters. “We’re happily receiving business from the US and Europe, and also for other markets as diverse as Brazil and Australia.

Product focus is on a full range of accommodation offers in Tahiti’s islands and this extends from top-of-the-line resorts through to private islands and on to homestay, bed-and-breakfast and rental bungalow accommodations.

Levy also explains that in addition to direct sales, he is working with travel industry partners for both wholesale and retail distribution, stating “we have the right products and competitive prices all delivered with live-time expertise, and an unbeatable level of complete service.”

With its launch the company has innovated an exclusive seven-days-a-week concierge product for its guests called “easyCare”. The easyTahiti team does its own airport welcomes, and then provides support to visitors during their stay. “We’re here to make sure that our clients enjoy our fabulous islands – if they need to know the price of postcard stamp or want us to arrange transport and dinner at a restaurant, we’ll take care of it. Easy.”
